My name is Baochun and I am 17 years old. I'm not sure how old I actually am except for an ID issued to me saying that I am 17 years old. My mother died when I was one year old, and my father abandoned me after that. I live with my aunt, who is a nun, so I became a nun at a young age. The government just started a movement to eradicate poverty this year, and I was put into a language class. After that, I came to CiXing School in Nangqian county to study. That was my first time going to school and I really enjoyed studying here. I told my aunt that I wanted to stay in school and study Tibetan medicine to help more people in need, and she was very supportive of the idea. In three years’ time I might be able to go to college and continue my study, but I don't know if I can go to college as a nun in Tibet. If I can't, I will study hard during these three years, and later I will be able to treat the nuns in my monastery and the people in our village who can't afford to see a doctor.
